Mitra is a recognized Lama in the Namgyal lineage of the Tibetan Ka'gyu school; and practitioner of Cultural Astronomy and Medieval Astrology. She has traveled, studied and worked in collaboration with professional artists from various cultures, and exhibited her art internationally.
